Complex life cycles drive community assembly through immigration and adaptive diversification

Problem

This project is the fourth chapter of my doctoral thesis. In it, my coauthors and I study how complex life cycles, where juvenile and adult individuals each feed on different sets of resources, affect community richness via two modes of community assembly: gradual evolution and immigration of new species.

(I intend to write here a popular science summary of the research methods and findings)
